Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

I purchased this about a month ago after looking for a good cheap matte finish foundation. I was seriously impressed by the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder and I often use it regularly so I had faith in this product to deliver.

I applied the foundation in the morning with my usual routine. I moisturise and and apply primer before slapping on the foundation. I picked up the shade 100 Ivory, though I was slightly intimidated as it did come out looking quite dark but it blends nicely. A small amount definitely goes a long way with this so be careful when squeezing the tube!

As you can see by the weird looking picture above, it really does come out like a mousse and though it doesn't look much, this will be more than enough to cover your face.

The consistency of this foundation is great, a soft mousse (as the name would suggest) that glides onto the skin but I would recommend applying with a half decent brush as it dries quickly. I would mark this as a strong medium coverage but could easily be flawless if a little extra is applied. After a long day at work this stuff managed to stay in place and banished my oily t-zone without reapplying any powder. This foundation is most suitable for those with combination to oily skin to vanquish the shine as it can be very drying to those with dry skin.

Retailing at £5.99 it won't break the bank and as I said a little goes a long way so the tube should last a while. Coming in six shades it may not be suitable for everyone so get swatching!

Overall I am impressed with this product and will continue to use.
