Why do you wear makeup?

Hi guys! I apologise profusely for my lack of posting, there is no excuse! I have been tagged by the beautiful Cherelle Titus at Chezza's Little Pleasures to do the 'Why do you wear makeup?' tag. Go and give her blog a read!

1. When did you begin loving makeup?

I first started wearing makeup when I was 15. It was never a big thing at my school when we were there so it was very minimal. Most of us only wore mascara and concealer, if that. I wore Boots' Natural Collection Cover-up Stick in 'Fair' to cover dark circles and any blemishes and my Mum's old Maybelline Great Lash Blackest Black Mascara. I began truly loving makeup, however, when I was 17 and free to experiment whilst I was in Sixth Form (no uniform or rules regarding makeup). My collection began to grow from the basics and it is ever expanding!

2. How do you feel without makeup?

I believe that it's incredibly important to be comfortable with yourself without makeup, after all that is the true you that everybody should fall in love with. Once upon a time when my self esteem was basically non-existent. I couldn't leave my room without wearing makeup let alone the house because I felt there was so much pressure on me to look good since everybody else put so much effort into their appearances. I wear makeup to make me feel more confident when I'm leaving the house and I find it fun to try new product combinations on a day-to-day basis. None of you should feel like you have wear makeup. Have no fear, you are beautiful.

3. What do you like about makeup?

I love the fact that there is just so much variation. A simple, elegant day look can be transformed into an evening appropriate look with a few alterations. The art of makeup is incredible and the fact that it inspires so many women and inspires confidence in us is just incredible. It gives us the ability to change up our look every single day, I for one enjoy putting my makeup on in the morning before work. I love thinking of new styles to try on myself or new combinations to try.

4. What are you three Holy Grail products?

  • I don't think I could live without my Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes. Most of the shades are great just to apply to the lid for a subtle daytime look, the colours blend well together and gorgeous combinations can be made.
  • A great mascara is always on my list, I've been reaching for Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara as it makes my lashes look so long without getting clumpy.
  • In a rush Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Nudist is vital, it adds colour and shine to the lips instantly, great for touch ups during the day as well!
Thank you all so much for reading! I'm going to tag the beautiful Eve over at brainy beauty and the gorgeous Alice at The fairest of them all
