FOTD: Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope all of you are feel loved and special today. Remember that you are all beautiful and amazing and no matter what there will always be someone out there for you, trust me! My boyfriend comes home today after being away for a while so I thought I'd surprise him by cooking a meal and setting a romantic scene! Of course my makeup and hair should be looking fantastic, am I right? This is my last Valentine's Day post this year, I swear!

Benefit POREfessional Primer
I will be wanting my makeup to last as long as possible and eliminate any shine so I have chosen this primer as it is my absolutely favourite and I can reply on it thoroughly. It also provides a slight amount of coverage so that a flawless look can be achieved once I've applied my foundation.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation - C2 Rose Vanilla
I love this foundation, they have an extensive shade range and it applies really nicely. It has medium coverage but it can be built up for a more flawless look. I have combination skin and it doesn't cling to any dry patches and it doesn't get as oily around my t-zone. It has a lovely finish that isn't too dewy for a liquid foundation.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder
This powder has got to be one of my favourites. I apply it around my t-zone to makeit appear more matte and less oily. I use the transparent version as I don't tend to need any more coverage and it sets my foundation for the day really well.

Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer

I love love love this concealer! It really does kick ass! It comes with two shades, one for applying under the eyes and another for covering up any blemishes or redness. It also comes with a setting powder as well as it has a creamy consistency. Applied with my ring finger this covers up anything I want to hide and it's packaged perfect for popping in my bag in case a touch up is needed.

Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer
Like the concealer, this bronzer comes with two shades, which is ideal for different purposes. The lighter shade gives me more of a bronzed goddess kind of complexion and the darker is great for contouring my cheekbones and jawline.

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher - Rose Mandarin
I love this blush, the colour is a very subtle yet very flattering rose pink that looks adorable on the top of my cheekbones. The packaging is ideally shaped to not get too much product on your brush.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette

I picked this up earlier in the week and I think the colours could not be any more appropriate for Valentine's Day. I think a combination of a couple of the lighter pinks with the shimmery medium toned eyeshadows would look gorgeous. Maybe with a hint of a darker colour in the crease from a dramatic look.

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner - Black

This eyeliner is simply great! It's a dupe of the Urban Decay 24/7 Pencils. This really does last me a long time and it glides on so nicely. It can also be smudged easily for a more edgy look.

Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara
A girl definitely needs a great mascara for Valentine's Day! This one is ideal, it defines my lashes excellently and makes them appear so much more voluminous without the dreaded spider effect. It also separates the lashes really well and no clumps if applied correctly!

Benefit Speed Brow

This tiny little product is great for taming your eyebrows but adding a hint of colour to make them appear more full. They also make your brows stay put all day without any obvious looking gel all over them. As the name suggests, it really it speedy! It's also very handy to keep around in your bag if a touch up is needed.

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Privée Lipstick - Barely Peach (Julianna Moore)
I love this colour, it's a like a 'your lips but better' kind of colour. A gorgeous nude with a hint of pink that is beautiful for a perfectly innocent Valentine's Day look!

L'Oreal Paris GlamShine Stain Splash - Romy
This gloss could really be worn on its own but I think that it looks great with the lipstick as they are of a similar shade so it compliments it elegantly without it being too overpowering by adding gorgeous shine and a hint extra of colour.

Finally, to set it all and ensure it does not budge whatsoever I have used the Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray in the All-Nighter so that it lasts all night, who'd have figured?

I hope you're all having a wonderful Valentine's Day! What makeup look have you gone for this year?
