NOTD: Valentine's Day

Tomorrow's the big day ladies! Whether you're spending Valentine's with a loved one or not your nails should be looking beautiful and suited for the occasion. I've taken a few different colours from my collection that would look great for Valentine's Day to give you guys some quick last minute ideas!

As you can see, I have strictly kept to the pink/red theme! I'll talk you through the shades to give you more of an idea of what we're looking at.
L-R Seventeen Lasting Fix Glisten, Rimmel Salon Pro Grape Sorbet, Rimmel 60 Seconds Rose Libertine, No 7 Stay Perfect Me Me Me, Barry M Hi-Shine Pomegranate, L'Oreal Rouge Pin Up, Barry M Matte Crush

Seventeen Lasting Fix (Glisten) - £2.99
This is a gorgeous rose gold shade that is very subtle but shines ever so nicely in the light, the colour also stays put for a good while and dries fairly quickly too. As the name suggests, it simply glistens elegantly without being too showy.

Rimmel London Salon Pro (Grape Sorbet) - £4.49

A beautiful pink shade that shines but also has texture. Made with Lycra this is designed to last a long time and it looks perfect for an innocent Valentine's Day manicure! The only downside is I find the brush awkward to use as it is so bulky, but if you can master it it's a lovely colour to go for.

Rimmel London 60 Seconds (Rose Libertine) - £2.69

As a simple dusky pink tone this is a pretty colour for the occasion. A vibrant yet a lovely toned down pink that would compliment a lot of outfits. However, be wary as it does not dry in 60 seconds and will need two coats!

No 7 Stay Perfect (Me Me Me) - £6.00

Something a little different is this very bright pink. This is a very flirty and exciting colour, perfect for the outgoing girl on a hot date this Valentine's! Two coats recommended but worth it for the payoff!

Barry M Hi Shine Gel (Pomegranate) - £3.99

This is a deep yet vibrant pink. It is a lot darker than the No 7 polish previously mentioned but the colour is gorgeous. It is flirty yet sexy and more sophisticated than a bright alternative. It is extremely shiny (as the name suggests) and will last very well.

L'Oreal Color Riche (Rouge Pin Up) - £4.99

A classic red can never go wrong. The sexiest colour you could probably go for this Valentine's would be something along the lines of this. Shiny and excellently coloured.

Barry M Matte (Crush) - £3.99

I love this shade, most may not find it appropriate for Valentine's Day but I think it's a stunning colour. It is a very dark maroon shade and would compliment a dark outfit very well. The matte finish also makes it look a little more interesting and perhaps less glamorous than other shiny polishes if you're having a quiet Valentine's!

Well I hope I've given you some ideas of what to wear on your nails for tomorrow. What colour will are you wearing on your nails? Have you tried any of these polishes? I hope you all have a lovely day!

  5. Sadly my nails will be bare as I cannot wear nail varnish to work. But I have just taken that No 7 pink off my nails now. I love it :-) perfect valentines colour if I didn't have to work!

    1. I know right?! I have so many nail polishes that dry much quicker and they don't even claim to be fast drying! Haha. x
