The budget cleansing oil

So I used to be one of those girls who solely removed makeup with wipes, and no I don't mean the Ole Henrikson Cleansing Cloths. I mean Boots' own brand face wipes tugging on my eyes for years on end. Don't judge me. Throughout the past year however, I have been attempting to be much kinder to my skin and give it all the TLC it needs but with so many cleansing products out there I had no idea what to even consider slapping on my face every morning and evening. The idea of a cleansing oil reeled me in ever so easily and this product explains why I was right to be.

That's right ladies and gentlemen, I'm talking about the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil from The Body Shop. For £10.00 you too could have a 200ml bottle of joy and goodness. I jest, but seriously this product has managed to earn itself a permanent place on my bathroom shelf. Applied to a dry face full of makeup this is to be worked into the skin as it gradually dissolves and dislodges any heavy makeup whilst being extremely gentle on the skin as well as around the eye area. You can then add a bit of water to help rinse any residue off, but I personally like to use a damp flannel just to ensure that everything's gone.

The chamomile also helps to avoid any aggravation of the skin and makes for a pleasant fragrance as well. I have combination skin and I can get quite oily around my t-zone but I find this product helps to balance everything out nicely.

To me this is a product that's ideal for those nights out when you've got your glam face on and taking your makeup off is the last thing you want to do when your bed is crying out for you. Thirty seconds is all you need for a beautiful cleanse that leaves your skin feeling silky, clean and refreshed even when you don't. The pump dispenser also means that it's so efficient, gotta love those efficient products. Though I would advise caution as during my first use I did push it quite violently and oil shot across the room along with any cool that I may have had.

  2. Don't worry, I think all girls have fallen victim to reaching for the baby wipes over cleanser at some point! But as soon as you make the turn to cleanser you never go back! This cleansing oil sounds great. As well as using my usual cleansing and toning routine, I sometimes use a dab of baby oil on my eyes to ensure all eye make up is removed so this looks as though it's a great combination of cleanser + oil!

Thank you for checking out my blog earlier, I love yours :)
