The Transition Boots

I love winter and autumn fashion. The jumpers, the scarves, the darker colours, I adore it all! But most importantly, of course, is the boots. The worst part about warm weather is not being able to wear boots without getting horribly sweaty feet (sexy, I know). However, boots have made a leap onto the shelves this year with some gorgeous cut-out details making them super sun-friendly. With the way the weather is at the moment, they're ideal.

Admittedly, I was totally not keen on the whole 'boots with bits missing' thing, it seemed wrong for a long time - but oh baby is right. My keen eyes spotted these beauties in Topshop a few weeks ago but I couldn't manage to convince myself that I would get the wear out of them since they are way out of my comfort zone. However, after repeatedly filling my online shopping basket with them then never buying them I decided enough was enough and they were going to be mine!

I love the colour, this shade of nude is very complimentary and they elongate the legs unlike some of the black boots that can cut you short at the ankle. Plus, they can be paired with almost anything - jeans, dresses, shorts, skirts. It's nice to have a change from the usual sandals/flip flops/ballet flats that tend to dominate footwear the the not-so-cool months. I'm not a fan of peep-toe shoes but they just seem to work so well on these boots. Seeing as there is no back of the boots, it means that there's plenty of airflow!

I am very glad indeed I decided to commit to these babies as they are totally gorgeous and so appropriate for the transition from summer to autumn.
