The Eyeshadow That Makes The Effort For You

Apologies for the more-than-lame title, but when you've finished reading this post hopefully you'll understand. I'm definitely one for creating a neutral eyeshadow look with two or three brown/taupe/champagne shades but sometimes ain't nobody got time fo' dat. Reviewed to death, but I felt it should still get a mention on The Beauty Scrapbook, I'm talking about the Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadows.  Specifically, I mean the shade On and On Bronze which is probably a favourite of everybody and their dog by now.

The formula of these eyeshadows is simply amazing. They are very thick and creamy and so pigmented. When I first got my hands on them I wasn't entirely sure how to apply them as I'm usually a powder eyeshadow gal and these are described as cream gel formula, yet I was surprised by how light they felt when applied. But literally all you need to do is take your ring finger, dab it ever so slightly into the pot and swipe away onto the lids. A little goes a long way since it's so pigmented so a light hand is recommended!

The shade selection is very interesting. There's definitely some bold colours thrown in there but if you're a neutral fiend like me then you'll still have plenty of choice. The shade Permanent Taupe is lovely dark brown with undertones of grey and is more matte than the other shades on offer. It's quite dark so it's perhaps more evening appropriate but still a gorgeous shade. Pink Gold is something a little different, a very pretty shimmery pink with a hint of gold shimmer thrown in there. Not too out there, but it's definitely not my usual shade to reach for. Finally, we have On and On Bronze. The babe that it is - a gorgeous bronze shade that is so flattering. This beauty makes it look like you've gone in and used about three shades to achieve a simple yet very pretty eyeshadow look.

Housed in a little glass pot these feel very luxe compared to other high street eyeshadows and you get a lot of product for your money as only the tiniest amount is needed per application. If you haven't checked out this range yet - where have you been?
